During this quarter, we have been viewing how healthy is the food that we are eating now, and the class was also searching about de Pyramid of  Food.  THE TREASURE ISLAND

Esta semana los alumnos de tercero de primaria han elaborado un proyecto sobre una isla del tesoro.
para ello han tenido que diseñar la isla ademas de hacer barcos piratas, cofres del tesoro y demás decoración.


This week the third grade students have developed a project on a treasure island . for this they have had to design the island besides making pirate ships, treasure chests and other decoration .

                                                                                                        

                             

REPORT ABOUT THE PLANETS

4th grade of Primary has been working on the didactic unit “Planets” in a funny way and teamwork.

We have given English classes working with our students in groups. They were divided according to the instructions given by their teachers. Students had to organize their work using the English language as the only vehicle for this activity.

Each team had to produce a wonderful mural full of illustrations and written texts, all about planets, having previously researched the topic using their texts books and research material from the internet.

The teachers have been very pleased with this activity, which has shown how our students are able to express and organize themselves in the second language they are learning daily.

Students have shown great responsibility being entrusted with this task and having a really good time.

INFORME SOBRE LOS PLANETAS

Los alumnos de 4º curso de Primaria han estado trabajando sobre los Planetas de una forma divertida y en equipo.

Hemos impartido la clase de inglés trabajando en equipos. Se dividieron siguiendo las instrucciones de las profesoras. Los alumnos tenían que organizar su trabajo usando el inglés como instrumento de comunicación para esta actividad.

Cada equipo ha creado un maravilloso mural lleno de ilustraciones y textos escritos, todo sobre los planetas, habiendo investigado el tema con los libros de textos e internet.

Las profesores han estado encantadas con esta actividad, que ha demostrado cómo nuestros alumnos son capaces de expresarse y organizarse en la segunda lengua que están aprendiendo a diario.

Los alumnos han demostrado una gran responsabilidad con la actividad encomendada y lo han pasado muy bien.

                                      

                                       

                                       

                                       

Science teachers for a day

Last week, 2nd grade of Secondary students were teachers for a day. After several classes of Biology in which they learned how to use the microscope and prepare laboratory samples, we invite our 6º grade of Primary students to participate in a laboratory session in which his ESO fellow acted as teachers teaching them how to use a microscope and how to prepare a sample.
Our students have a great future in education!

"I´M THE TEACHER"

Los alumnos de 2º de Primaria han participado en la actividad llamada “Soy el profe”.
Algunos alumnos voluntarios han salido a la pizarra siendo los” profes” y explicando al resto de sus compañeros una lección de Science: El ciclo del agua, con el que estamos trabajando estos días.
Antes de este role-play, los niños trabajaron de forma grupal en la realización del mural sobre el mismo tema.

Con éstas actividades los peques se lo han pasado genial y en breve realizaremos otras actividades igual de motivadoras.

Pupils of 2nd grade of Primary have taken part in an activity called “I’m the teacher”.
Some volunteers have come to the board to be the “teachers” and explain to the rest of their partners a Science lesson : The water cycle, which we are working on these days.
Before this role-play, the students worked in groups drawing a mural about the same matter.
The children have enjoyed these activities a lot and we will play other motivating games very soon.

“TOUCHING THE VOID” BY JOE SIMPSON … AN INCREDIBLE STORY OF SURVIVAL.


Unit 4 is related to sports and we have been worked in the class about extreme sports such as ice climbing in the mountain. The whole classes, 6th A and 6th B, have been searching information on internet about what happened to Joe Simpson ( http://touchingthevoid.com/ ) and they´ve really discovered something special… I´m referring to the desire for living can do that we overcome incredibly difficult situations. If you still have no read the book I encourage to do it as soon as you can and… thanks Joe to be still alive and keep on dreaming new mountains.

“TOCANDO EL VACÍO” ESCRITO POR JOE SIMPSON… UNA INCREÍBLE HISTORIA DE SUPERVIVENCIA.

La Unidad 4 está relacionada con los deportes y hemos estado trabajado en la clase los deportes extremos como la escalada en hielo en la montaña. Las clases al completo de 6º A y 6 º B, han estado buscando información en internet sobre lo que sucedió a Joe Simpson ( http://touchingthevoid.com/ ) y realmente han descubierto algo especial... Me estoy refiriendo a que el deseo de vivir puede hacer increíblemente que superemos situaciones muy difíciles. Si aún no habéis leído el libro os animo a hacerlo tan pronto como podáis y... Gracias Joe por seguir vivo y seguir soñando nuevas montañas.


                                                



                                                                           

Esta semana los alumnos de 4º de primaria, han interiorizado los conceptos referentes a los diferentes tipos de fuerzas que aparecen en la unidad 5 de Sciences. Gracias a estos juegos, pueden asociar conceptos a las acciones en la vida real. Es un ejemplo de aprendizaje significativo, mediante la experiencia.

This week, the 4th primary students, have internalized the concepts relating to the different types of forces that appear in Unit 5 of Sciences. Thanks to these games, they can associate concepts to actions in real life . It is an example of meaningful learning through experience.

 

                   

                                 

 I CAN.....   I CAN´T

Los alumnos de 1º de Primaria, están trabajando frases sobre que pueden o no hacer los animales. De esta manera, nombramos, identificamos y escribimos los diferentes animales de la granja.

Students of first course of Primary are working in sentences about what animals can and can´t do. In this way, we name, identify and write different animal farm.

  

What are you eating?

Esta semana los alumnos de tercero de Educación Primaria, han repasado todo el vocabulario de la Unidad 4 mediante una serie de juegos. Uno de ellos ha sido " guess what you're eating game", para ello, han salido a la pizarra, y sin mirar que alimento o sabor que les ha tocado, han tenido que adivinar de que palabra se trata haciendo una serie de preguntas a sus compañeros. De esta manea, han pasado un rato divertido dentro del aula a la vez que aprenden a introducir las características de los alimentos dentro de la estructura de las preguntas en lengua inglesa.

This week students from third Primary Education have reviewed all the vocabulary of Unit 4 through some games. One of them was "guess what you're eating game". For this, they have to come to the whiteboard, and without looking the word written, they have to guess the correct food they are eating, asking questions to their classmates about food and flavors.

Onion Cells



Last week, 1st grade of Secondary students made the Onion Cells practice on their own. After the explanations in class, they were able to make their first practice microscope alone under the supervision of his science teacher. They prepared their own samples and observedunder a microscope.


Those are the first steps of future scientists.
